Working as a subcontractor to Knowledge Management Solutions, IES provided workflow analysis and development services on a project to workflow-enable, document imaging-enable, and document management-enable an accounts payable system for Ocean Energy, a large ocean oil drilling company. The system was built as a Web-based application to be accessed over Ocean Energy's corporate Intranet, using: active server pages (ASP) for the user interfaces; common object model plus (COM+) middleware components for the workflow, database, and electronic document management system (EDMS) connection services; SQL Server for the database; Kofax's Ascent for the document imaging; Altris' eB for the EDMS; and Staffware for the administrative/production-class workflow.
