Project Spotlight: Applied Engineering & Technology Building at UTSA

At IES we’re more than just engineers, we’re passionate about shaping spaces that foster education, collaboration, and innovation. That’s why projects like the Applied Engineering & Technology Building at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) are especially close to our hearts. This four-story, 147,127 square-foot facility isn’t just a building; it’s a place where students and faculty push the boundaries of knowledge and creativity. We love being part of projects that support the next generation of thinkers and problem-solvers, and this one was no exception. Whether it’s providing structural and civil engineering expertise or ensuring the space is one that inspires, we pour our hearts into making sure these environments thrive.

Education is at the core of what we do. At IES, we believe in creating spaces where people can learn, grow, and excel, and working with UTSA on this project truly reflects that. But it’s not just about the work. We’re also proud to support UTSA’s spirit! Many of our staff are Roadrunner fans, attending football games and cheering on the team. There’s something special about working with a university that has such a vibrant community, and knowing that our contributions are helping fuel the next generation of engineers and innovators makes every project feel like a personal win.
