Justice Edge Honored with Named Scholarship as SEAoT Awards Over $10,000 to Future Structural Engineers
We’re proud to celebrate a momentous occasion for both IES and the future of structural engineering. At a recent award ceremony, IES Partner Justice Edge and IES Associate Vince Guerra presented six scholarships totaling more than $10,000 in academic support to deserving students. These awards were presented on behalf of the Structural Engineers Association of Texas (SEAoT).
SEAoT is a professional organization dedicated to advancing the practice of structural engineering in Texas through education, technical resources, and community engagement. The association supports emerging engineers by fostering scholarship opportunities, professional development, and industry collaboration.
This year’s scholarships included:
- $3,500 from SEAoT’s newly renamed Justice Edge Traditional Scholarship
- $1,000 from SEAoT’s UTSA-specific scholarship
- $6,000 from the Charles Lundy Memorial Scholarship, generously funded by the Lundy family

Justice Edge Traditional Scholarship
- Erica Moreno, Freshman – $1,000
- Mark Greene, Sophomore – $1,000
- Kristian Rendon, Junior – $1,500
- Senior – Vacant
SEAoT UTSA Scholarship
- Natalie Landsem – $1,000
Charles Lundy Memorial Scholarship
- Natalie Landsem – $3,500
- Kristian Rendon – $2,500
In a special tribute, the SEAoT Board honored Justice Edge for his exceptional service as Chair of the SEAoT Scholarship Committee from 2014 to 2025. To commemorate his 11 years of leadership and commitment to the profession, SEAoT officially renamed its traditional scholarship the Justice Edge Traditional Scholarship—a lasting legacy recognizing his contributions to the field and to the next generation of engineers.
